I. -4 forgotten creatures travel through night like spirits to mourning rain, the emptied vessels devouring plants in haste before they fade. watch as they collect themselves and fly under fruitful waves, picking up enough of green apples to make tears turn to jade. they spill the juice throughout the lands ‘til pigeons run to caves, making sure the unforgotten can listen to the weighed. poisoned greens reside in stone and wilt upon a gaze, the vengeance gathered from the creatures burning through their veins. the venom flows to floating rivers and reduces beings to name, leaving behind nothing much but wildflower plains. do not forget the unforgotten or summon them to bay, for if we forget and repeat history there’ll be no moon left to wane. -Sabrina Lu

III. scattering what happens when we really do fall apart? is it like the pieces we all talk about? is it a shattering? a complete disappearance? it must be a kind of art being taken apart into puzzles and clues leaving only a fuse that cannot be put out does it hurt? to sink into dirt and grasp at the roots of trees? lava encasing your scrubbed knees? there’s too much i want to know (and so little time) i guess i will take my bow and press against strings get eye-level with morning aim and shoot it in the leg instead of its heart i can only get to night if morning bleeds away -Sabrina Lu
